LightSoulMS is an original interpretation of Maplestory by Wizet. It is a 1x/1x/1x, customized MapleStory private server that strives to bring you an unforgettable experience of the old school MapleStory with some added flavour.

LightSoulMS will provide the nostalgic feelings of waiting for the boat at Ellinia, strolling down Orbis Tower, grinding at Pigs Beach, socializing with maple buddies, smuggling passes, and the list goes on.

Far from being a mere time capsule, LightSoulMS also brings to the table an array of personalized, innovative content without interfering with the nostalgic feelings of Maplestory that many of us hold dear in our hearts. Our History

Originally called NightSoulMS, the server was established on December 19, 2008. It was one of many that jumped onto the mainstream wagon shortly after the beginning of the private server boom. NightSoulMS started off branded as a high-rate server and upholding the mentality of "Nexon can't touch this". After all the fun's been had and experiences gained, NightSoulMS began to carve its own identity in the private server world.

In 2009, the transition was made into being the first and only old school maplestory private server on the market, proudly proclaiming its slogan as "The Nostalgic Experience". The trend took root and soon nostalgia-themed servers started following our lead. It was then that NightSoulMS soon found itself confronted with new challenges. Competition ran high, hackers ruled the community, and the server suffered from DDoS attacks. For a time, NightSoulMS held its own, solidifying its traditions and maintaining the environment that many had come to call home.

In the Spring of 2015, NightSoulMS closed its doors, passing its goals and legacy to be carried on by the competing servers. Nostalgia had been achieved, the NightSoulMS community had many places to turn to for satisfying the thirst for a classic adventure – but something was missing.

At the end of 2020, in the dawn of a new era, NightSoulMS has risen from the ashes and been reborn as LightSoulMS.
